1. Neville Longbottom: He’s just such a fascinating character. He has a good storyline. Neville could have easily been the onein Harry Potter’s shoes. Can we just open Deathly Hallows and see how bad ass Neville becomes? His head is set on fire but he still kills Nagini! Honestly, would you ever imagine Neville Longbottom from Philosopher’s Stone ever being a leader, let alone a leader of a rebel group fighting Death Eaters stationed in Hogwarts? He’s bad ass. Your argument is invalid.
2. The Weasley Twins: Comic relief, comic relief! While also being bad ass. George loses an ear and CRACKS A JOKE. Fred dies, but he dies laughing. They’re the two baddest gingers in the book, sorry to say Bill and Ron.
3. Remus Lupin: This character has always pulled at my heartstrings. I have this pull to the underdog. Everything, including society, is against him and he handles it with so much poise. Most people would be so full of rage that they would turn on society and embrace the violent stereotypes that they’ve been given. Not Remus John Lupin. He’s bitter, he’s hardened and he lives a half life but he does it because he truly believes it’s good and right.
I think that’s why I like all these characters. Despite their flaws, they manage to do the right thing. Neville faces his fears and takes charge, the twins follow their dreams no matter what, and Lupin does what he feels is right no matter how hard it may be.
